proceeded to the Santa Barbara College of Law receiving his J.D. in
1991.
When asked who or what has had the greatest influenced on his
life, Mr. Homan responds, "I have played competitive sports all
my life. My coaches and teammates have taught me that teamwork,
diligence and hard work creates opportunities for success. In
addition, Mr. Homan was a shore patrol man in the U.S. Coast Guard
from 1979-1983. He finished first in his class from basic training
and was awarded the Naval Outstanding Recruit Award. This award is
bestowed on the recruit that scores highest in both academic and
physical tests. His challenges to perform well under severe duress
taught him a great deal as to how to succeed through adversity.
Throughout his basic training regimen, he was nominated Recruit
Company Commander (RCC). He lead a company of over 100 military
personnel through all military exercises. His company won many top
honors. Through this position as a RCC, he learned a great deal
about motivating a team to perform well.
In his legal career, Mr. Homan most appreciates the opportunity
to challenge every aspect of those matters which are spurious and
without merit. He thoroughly enjoys the moments in which he is able
to enlighten the opposition to the actual worth of their case.
Whether this is accomplished through a deposition, a favorable
settlement and/or trial, the sense of doing something meaningful for
his client is his ultimate reward.
Mr. Homan’s published works include, ‘Defensing The Soft
Tissue Claim’ in 1994. He is a member of the State Bar of
California; the American Bar Association; the American Trial Lawyers
Association and the San Bernardino County Bar Association. He is
admitted to practice in the Northern, Central and Southern District
Court.
Mr. Homan has tried numerous cases with successful results. These
cases have ranged from the very minimal exposure case to the most
catastrophic injury case, such as paralysis and/or death. His
