Judge Bill McVittie is one of the pioneers in changing the lawsuit paradigm in California courts from litigation to the alternative dispute resolution processes.

His experience includes ten years as a neutral associated with IVAMS; 20 years as a Los Angeles Superior Court trial court judge; Three terms as a member of the California Legislature as a member of the Assembly, including service on the Judiciary and Ways and Means Committees; Commissioner on the National Uniform State Laws Commission; City Attorney and Redevelopment Agency General Counsel for the City of Chino; Private law practice and civil litigator; President of a real estate brokerage, a development company and a general contractor; and Staff Accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co, an international firm of CPA's.

Judge McVittie has taught at several local colleges and law schools, including courses in Legal Accounting, Corporations, and Alternative Dispute Resolution Processes. He has also conducted settlement conference judicial workshops for Los Angeles Superior Court judges.
